I have a K Line Alco that took a header off the board and 43 inches down to a carpeted concrete floor. It is absolutely dead. No nothing from the piece now. Took the shell off and did a visual inspection but
failed to see anything out of the ordinary...no broken wires or loose components. Any suggestions as to what I can do to attempt to revive it?

If it's not shorted, power it up and trace the power from the rails with a meter as far as you can - if the headlamp is out, it's probably quite simple.
Turn the wheels on each truck with your thumb to make sure nothing is bound-up in the drive train. Motor could have become dislodged.
Just out of curiosity did it hit on the front coupler? These are pretty rugged little guys. Good luck.
I tried to follow the power wires as suggested and it appears that the red and black wires right in the middle if the unit that attach to the end of the board had an issue, but when "wiggled" in one direction, the power resumed. I find daunting the idea of resoldering the wires on board due to my limited soldering skills.
