I run this set each year for my kids and grandkids at Christmas. I need to get into the caboose but cannot move the frame and car body apart aside from the 4 corner screws. Has anyone taken one of these apart? What am I missing?

I have one and took it apart a long time ago. Didn't seem to give me any trouble that I can recall. A lot of times you have to slide the truck just right and put your screwdriver down in between the truck side frame and the wheel.
K-Line came out with the set a few different times, it's possible the caboose changed.
Which set do you have?

I have K 1123 W.
Eureka! There are 8 screws in the corners, not 4! There are 4 very short ones holding the black frame to the bottom but there are 4 longer screws set deeply into the frame and body. Once all 8 screws are removed, the body of the caboose separates neatly from the black and blue framing. I, too, miss K LINE.
