K-Line Locomotives Cruise Upgrade Card | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

i have a very nice K-Line locomotive with TMCC from 2007. I heard K-Line or Lionel had put out an upgrade to add cruise to the board on these units. Anyone know anything about that? Is this true, and would they be available??

Upgrade kits were released by Kline for the Mikado, Hudson and one or two other locomotives. That said the Kline cruise was a mixed bag with some versions working better than others.

Your best option would be the Electric Railroad Cruise Commander M. It’s an easy installation and is available from Scott Mann/ 3Rd Rail.

Thanks. I’ve done several ERR Cruise Commander upgrades so I will try that.

The K-Line cruise kits I installed were marginal at best and generally terrible/jerky/surging. Go with ERR and you won't be sorry.

What engine is it? By 2007 many engines came with cruise from the factory.

The no 5309 Pacific, Lionel TMCC & Lionel Railsounds.

I don' t think that came with cruise and if it did the cruise board did not generate the chuff signal.
