Larry,

   Try reversing the wiring on your Super Snap switch and see what happens.  Did you test the switch before you put it in your layout, does it work properly by itself, as a stand alone switch should.

Pine Creek  - Yesterday it was fine on test table - Today not so.

   OK very good, these SS switches can act funny if they are slightly bent form screwing them down, also check your synthetic pins, make sure nothing is touching where it's not suppose to be, or one of your wires maybe pinched some place, or your

tracks on each side of the switch maybe shorting in some way, and the track may need replaced, also check all your pins and make sure they are in properly making proper contact with the switch. 

Go slow and check carefully.

Sounds like a limit switch issue.  You can take it apart and check it.  A search should kick up some of the older threads.  G
