Hi,

Long time listener, first time caller.  I'm putting up my first layout and trying to figure out if I can wire a K-Line 376 switch (with the raised indicator lights) with a DZ-1002 controller.  I do have it working but I can't get the push buttons to co-ordinate.  It works fine, but in order to actuate the switch, you push the 'lighted' button instead of the 'unlighted' button.  To be clear, if the turnout is set for straight through, the green light on the switch is lit, the green light on the DZ-1002 is lit, but instead of pushing the 'unlit' red button, you have to push the 'lit' green button.  Switch throws and everything turns red.  This only occurs with this particular model of switch.  Other K-Lines with the smaller DZ style actuator work correctly, i.e. if you push the 'unlit' button, the switch throws.  I've tried just about all of the wiring combinations that are possible.  I'm not keen on using the bigger lever switches as my control board is smallish and I'd like to avoid buying new switches.  Has anyone found a way to 're-wire' something so it works correctly?

You will have to eliminate the logic diodes from the DZ controller, while keeping the current limiting resistors for the LEDs, and still provide a DC power feed to the LEDs.  You can probably use all the parts within the controller to do this.  If you keep the switch contacts on the AC side and rectify the power to the LEDs and resistors, it seems quite doable.  I've seen the K-Line LED controllers, I would assume the DZ have the same or very similar components.
