Has anyone here ever put Kadee couplers on an MTH switcher? I specifically thinking about an MP15AC (30-2815-1) and/or an Alco S2 (20-2501-1).
If you did...let me know how you attached the couplers.

Haven't done it yet, but the process will involve drilling and tapping for 2-56 screws to mount the pilot and couplers to the locomotive frame. You'll need an approximately 4mm spacer plate to fill the "3-rail gap" in the pilot. I've got a batch of locomotives I'll have to do. I'm thinking about making a really good master and casting spacer plates.
You'll also have to re-do the hand rails to bring them down into the pilots.

Seems like I had to make a fairly good sized shim that filled the gap between the steps.
