Not trying to talk you out of finding the K-Line cars you are looking for, but Golden Gate Depot is starting design on Superliner I cars and they will be quite an improvement over the K-Line cars with see through vents, correctly colored interiors, and the never made by K-Line Sightseer Lounge.  The Transition Coach/Dorm is also being offered.

I have three K-Line Superliner II coaches currently, and they are great for their time, but the price on some of the harder to find cars is about the same as what GGD is selling newly tooled cars for.

I also have 5 Williams 20" Superliners.  They are barely adequate at best but since I only paid $50 dollars for the set they hold a place for future replacement.  :-)

@GG1 4877 I'm looking forward to the GGD superliners (I preordered my set already) and also I have a set of 5 of the williams ones. I have all of the K line cars except 1 which is car # 35005 (k4603-43500) and some sealed K line sets went up for bid, that's why I'm trying to find which pac this was in to make sure I bid on the right 2 pac.

I have a set of the Lionel superliners too which are pretty nice, and of course the MTH superliners.

I mainly model amtrak (and some commuter roads) so my fleet is mainly amfleets, superliners, genesis (I have some 3rd rail genesis and chargers on preorder, looking forward to those too), AEM-7, etc.

To each their own I guess

@DashingDanLIRR  Great collection!  Makes complete sense.  I wish I knew more about which K-Line Superliners came in which sets.  I picked mine up one at a time and two of the coaches have the same number.  I figure I'll mix them in with my Phase III GGD set when it finally gets completed for a 1994 version of the Southwest Chief I am envisioning.  Just need to track down an Atlas B32-8WH and see how the speed compares to my K-Line F40PHs for a really interesting long-distance train.

The vast majority of my 3 rail passenger cars are Amtrak or may end up as Amtrak one day so I understand!  My focus is normally 1980ish to 1996, but honestly any era of Amtrak is interesting to me.  I also have plenty of Amtrak in HO and N.  The one locomotive missing from my fleet is a scale O Amtrak GG1.  All in good time though!

On the K-Line cars, dumb question, but have you considered reaching out to the seller and asking if K4603-43500 is in the set?

@GG1 4877 yea waiting on a reply, by any chance is car 35005 your duplicate car? 😀

I mainly go for modern stuff ive been on so phase 4/5 usually. Ggd is doing the only phase V superliners on the market so far, I'm very excited for that

My duplicate is 34102 which must be the most common one available because I see that one for sale all the time!  Went and checked and sure enough all three of mine have the same number.    A future renumbering project.

Here is some information that I have complied over the years:

K4603-43210AMTKSleeper32101New YorkRib---SuperlinerK-4603M2-pack
K4603-43211AMTKSleeper32117-Rib---Superliner--
K4603-43410AMTKCoach34102-Rib---Superliner--
K4603-43412AMTKCoach34125-Rib---SuperlinerK-4603H2-pack
K4603-43500AMTKCoach/Snack35005-Rib---SuperlinerK-4603M2-pack
K4603-43803AMTKDiner38039-Rib---SuperlinerK-4603H2-pack
K4603-43900AMTKSleeper39000-Rib---Superliner/Transition

I suspect that 32117 and 34102 are in set K-4630G but I have not physically seen nor handled that set, so I can not say for sure.

Note that K-Line was very prolific; at least 192 different 21" cars and at least 61 21" sets.

Just keep in mind, GGD is making Superliner I's with that odd Pullman truck. The K-Line Superliners mimic  Superliner II's. So there is still a difference like the ex SF El Cap cars and Superliner I's. When GGD announces Superliner II's I expect a lot more detail on them than the K-Line models.
