BobbyD,     you are a life saver.    Because the engine is tmcc I turned it over on a pad and using wire clips connected to the track turned on the tmcc.    Cleaned the wheels and rubber tires with scotch brite pad  then found that the roller pickups  were cutting off the power.   didn't have contact cleaner so spun the rollers to clean them up inside and outside.    engine now only looses power occasionally if I stop.    The engine now easily pulls an 8 car train and will be used during the Tour Da Chooch which are layout tours in the MA, NH, aria the weekend after Thanksgiving.    https://www.tourdechooch.org/wp/  My layout is the Salem Terminal Union.

I also posted pictures of the layout with 3 tugs and barges in the harbor,  and the new On30 section that is only about 20 ft long but can run an engine back and forth.    The windows in the picture will be covered during the open house.IMG_7535IMG_7536IMG_7538IMG_7539IMG_7540IMG_7541IMG_7542IMG_7543IMG_7544layout
