Hi Everyone,

The engine in question is a semi-scale ATSF model number K320-3462s

I bought 3 K Line engines ages ago when I first started a layout - didn't have command then so have only ever run this engine in conventional. It has been under the layout for ever but was "rediscovered" today.

It wont run. I apply power and I get Lights all round but no movement or sounds although you do get an electrical noise from the speaker.

I have no instruction manual - can anyone tell me how to do a reset and what number to key in please?

Is the arial in the tender as well? as there is a wire gojng up into the removable top piece where there  is a handrail?

I have looked in the tender nothing obviously amiss - check all connections, no broken wires. Engine will not run on its own - I assume I need the tender.

Any ideas/suggestions are most welcome as I live in England so finding anything out over here is a complete no no!

I appreciate this is probably a bit of a highbrid with very early rail sounds

Thanks

MIKE

Mike, Best bet is to reprogram it. It probably has been assigned a number other than 1.

Put the engine in Program mode.

hit Eng xx Set (xx=the number you want your engine to be) (whistle should sound)

then hit Aux1 4 (4=steam engine with smoke) (whistle should sound again)

Turn off the power and put the engine back in Run mode.
