Klineville was Kline's rebadging of Plasticville tooling (for the most part). Lots of good buildings before Bachmann took over the rights. Lots of good buildings even after Bachmann took over.
K-line did not have any of the Plasticville tooling. Some of K-Lineville was ex-Marx and some other old line manufacturer's tooling.

Yes, Klineville was ex-Marx tooling. Plasticville had some ex-Littletown or Kleeware tooling for some of its early pieces, but much was original. The Plasticville Collectors Association has some good online material regarding Klineville and Marx structures.
K-Lineville? Wasn't that a Jimmy Buffet song?
O yeah, that's right...MarxMarx
SO IS IT SAFE TO SAY ITS O SCALE?
Yes, meant for O Gauge, but similar in size to Plasticville. A bit small to be called O Scale.

Using door height as the scale standard, they are closer to S Scale than O Scale, although they are marketed as usable for both.
