Check out this video to see these brilliant machines - K.I.T.T. and the locomotive - showing off their AI as they dash through the countryside together.

I got into a spirited conversation with a Texas Utilities U18B in Erie, BLDG 10 back in the day.  For a low brow little cornhusker, the chooch was amazingly well informed on just about anything from Eva Peron to Frank Zappa.  One of my co-workers later fessed up to powdering my snuff can.  Guess now that would be unnecessary.

Airwolf was neat, but I'll still take the Bell 47G N975B from Whirlybirds... (If that doesn't date me, nothing will.)

Yeah, but a small part of me would still like to see it come to DVD someday.    (very cool clip compiliation above, BTW!)

The opening video posted by FarmerBill seems to have been marked private now, so I guess I lose for snoozing on checking this out...

The diesel in Back to the Future III didn't stop either after destroying the Delorean and nearly taking out Marty McFly when he returned from the Old West.  (If it had, would have made it hard for Doc to show up soon after with the Steam Train Time Machine!)

Big Jim, you maybe right about the Lone Ranger. And Johnny Quest was a great series. But if we are going to bring cartoons into this, I believe that Voltron takes top honors on theme music. As far as season 4 of Airwolf that's where they lost me. They kill off Dom I believe and String is in only a couple of episodes. Airwolf ain't Airwolf without String and Dom.

What with that sorry Voltron music and animation, that wasn't even a contest, much less a war of the worlds!

For those of you that enjoy good music enough to read the credits, I found the following documentary about Hoyt Curtin the man behind the Jonny Quest music. It is very interesting.
