At the expense of repeating my self, On my layout I have two consecutive Ross O-72 switches into the yard. My MTH Y6b engine front steam truck would derail from the first switch curve entering the into the second Ross O-72 switch curve . I thought the curve blade was the culprit and so Dremeled on it . Discovered instead that gluing small pieces of plastic before the curve blade fixed the problem. Engine never derail in straight ahead position, just consecutive curves.
Fast forward to my new P&WV PS-3 diesel (yes, the one I ranted over, and forumites helped fix) that when hitting this switch derailed due to ground down blade.
Called Steve at Ross Switch to see if butchered blade could be replaced and cost etc. He said send it in and they would look at it, which I did October 22nd. Today, November 3rd, there is the Ross Switch package with repaired switch. Installed and now new diesel goes through perfectly.
Only charge is return postage which I just sent off.
So big thank you Steve for the no hassle repair.
Now try that with China products.
