Joe, I agree with your assessment and also feel your pain.  I really thought that other than Weaver and 3rd Rail, the manufacturers just wouldn't offer anything more I'd still be interested in buying.  The latest Lionel catalogs are the first that have actually made me interested in "making a significant investment in a lifetime of happiness" (buying) in a long time.

As for feeling your pain, I think it works the same for the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines (PRSL).  But the PRSL models do appear on a regular if infrequent basis so I have high hopes for the new N5B cabin car eventually appearing in PRSL.  Multiple road numbers would be the icing on the cake.

Well, personally, my complaint is that ALL the major 3RO companies offer so many

desirable items that it makes me all spendy and such.

I have always preferred MTH rolling stock - it seems to just have a really quality feel

to it, consistently. The others do too, yes - but MTH is my pick. Now about some of those

MTH RS decorating ideas...

But seriously - I buy fewer MTH locos than Lionel-electronics locos because, while I have

a DCS Remote Commander, I just much prefer the TMCC (etc) system - and I do my own

upgrades.

Which brings me to all those lovely, well-made, modestly-priced, second-hand PS1

MTH locos. ERR makes them go well. Keep them coming.
