This 8mm film was converted digitally last week by my sister Rebecca, originally filmed by mr Raum. She only recently bought a converted to transfer my dad’s Vietnam films, and thought she’s do the rest of the 8mm. What a surprise this was! I never even knew about the Coronation Scot let alone it being in Lancaster, And it’s in COLOR! Please enjoy and if you have more details please let me know!

Wow - amazing, never heard of those - another great "Art Deco" loco from times gone by...
Thanks for sharing
Thank you and Rebecca, what a great video! When I was a child my family moved to York, PA. Whenever my family would visit us from N.Y. We would pick them up from Lancaster, that and trips to to the old Penn station cemented my love for the PRR and GG1s.
I always wanted to build a model of Lancaster station, maybe some day.
(jaw drops) Wow. Now THAT is what I call a time capsule! Bravissimo!

That is just awesome Andrew! Thanks!
I'll bet the PRR Technical & Historical Society would love a copy.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn behind Lancaster station in 1970 when I was six. So happy I got to actually see GG-1s in action...after I realized they were like my 2340. So cool to see them in color in their youth. All shiny and straight.
Amazing historic footage! :-)
Very interesting film. Thanks for posting.
