"Trains" magazine reports that Lance Fritz is to become UP's chairman on October 1, 2015. Does anyone see this as positive for the steam program, since he started his career in marketing and sales? Or a negative effect - or no effect? What do you all think?

Until the current manager is "removed" absolutely NOTHING will operate out of the Cheyenne steam shop.
There is a possibility that the new fellow is not aware of the problems in the steam division. maybe someone should inform him in a proper form without the insults.

The "new fellow" as you call him, is currently the President, and is more than "aware" of the issues in Cheyenne.
