my MTH/Lionel train layout uses three rev. L TIU's with version 6.1 software and I would like the possibility of running the MTH locomotives with the MTH app and a tablet. My three TIU's are all set to super mode with very good signal quality as long as my Lionel Cab-1light base is not powered. Do I need more than one WIU ? as in one per TIU or just one WIU for the complete layout ?

Not the answer I was hoping for. thanks for your quick reply. I'll be sticking to my remotes as it would be too costly
If you do this, add a wireless router in front of the WIU's and you connect to that with the app - let it manage all of the packets - works great....

I only have one WIU, but I just connect it to my home network router, that allows me to have Internet at the same time as connecting to the WIU. I also don't have to configure anything to connect, just pop open the application and start running trains.
