Is it possible to build a lashup with a Legacy and a TMCC locomotive using a CAB2 with 1.4 software?

I can't seem to get the Lionel TMCC GP-30 Diesel to work with my new Legacy GP-30.

I've tried to use the TMCC as the lead unit as well as setting the Legacy GP-30 to TMCC mode, but

only the Legacy engine will respond as a train. The TMCC won't respond at all.

Thanks

I've tried to do the same thing putting the Conrail U33C Legacy with an odyseey Conrail sd-80 to no avail. I've tried everything but have not tried turning odyseey off in the sd-80 which has no on-off switch on the bottom of the engine. There is a  key sequence you can use to turn odyssey on-off that way but have not attempted that.

We talked about this some months ago in another thread here of my attempt to put those 2 engines together.

Zephyr 1 and other Legacy users.  Please watch the Lionel U-Tube Video on Legacy and TMCC controls.  The video will explain why you can not run a TMCC engine as a Legacy engine.  You CAN however run a Leagcy engine under TMCC control.  To run a consist - lashup -  using a Legacy and TMCC engine you must set the Legacy system as a TMCC system - also covered in one of the Lionel videos.

Thanks Bruce and all,

I did try your suggestion of setting the Legacy engine to TMCC mode,

but it made no difference.

I have a problem with my new Legacy system with over charging

the batteries as well as the Feedback not vibrating just clicking.

I have an RA# from Lionel and have sent the system back for repair.

I have listed all 3 of these concerns in my letter to them.

Funny, I can still use my old CAB1 and everything works fine.

I hope they can help me with these issues.
