WOW!  Excellent service by the USPS Priority Mail department!  Those cars left our Riverhead loading dock about 1:40 PM on Tuesday and you have your car already in New Jersey on Wednesday!!  Outstanding!

We are so pleased with the Made in America Lionel boxcar and the technology driven livery on the sides.  Our artwork pops out at you.  Enjoy your car Kevin, and thank you for supporting our Collectible Car Program.

The RMLI Team is working on its first car design for 2019, I'm think of a box of "Quackers!"  We'll see what hatches out :-)

The "Steam Up! LIRR 39 Blue Boy" boxcar is on track for a delivery date late in November.  Those of you who ordered it can look forward to it in your mailbox early in December - in time for a run under the tree or in the Christmas Putz!

Thank you to everyone who ordered our very special cars!

How many DOTS/Crows cars were there made?   Were they made per the number ordered, or was there a total production limit?  Nice looking cars!   (Wish I was paying attention when you issued that "last call" back in April.)

Not to speak for Don, but I would imagine they will post that info at some point.  All the previous cars are listed with quantities here.

There does seem to be a trend towards more rounded numbers in recent years (425, 500, 775, etc.).  From the list of the Submarine on Flat and earlier, there were some very precise quantities listed (1002, 654, 821, etc.).

Hey JOHN D!

Great to see you at the Museum this past Saturday!

It's always a pleasure to meet up with members of the RMLI Collector's Club, (and the Forum), at the Museum or at the York Eastern Division TCA Meet.  Whenever any of you are on Long Island please plan to stop in and see the Historic Lionel Layout from Chesterfield, MI - meet the RMLI Team - ride on the Allan Herschell G-16, LIRR 1964-1965 New York World's Fair park train and browse the gift shop!

Hello RADIORON,

384 DOTS and Crows cars were created.  At this point they have all "gone out the door!"  That said, drop me an e-mail at:   dfisher@rmli.org   just in case a car does become available.  I would get right back to you to let you know.

Best,
Don Fisher

Thanks, Don.   I sent you an e-mail.    Ron

Ron,

I highly suggest "following" Don on the forum. You'll get an email any time he posts a new topic or reply.  That way you'll always get a chance to support the Railroad Museum of Long Island and acquire fine rolling stock for your collection.
