Good morning all,
Earlier this spring I was introduced to someone who is selling her late husband's train collection, and I'm helping her get everything organized and ready to sell. It's a mix of Lionel, Flyer and others, and for the most part, in varying states of disrepair. For my efforts, she gave me this Lionel Flying Yankee!! It cleaned-up real nice, and I know I can get it to run if it needs mechanical work.
When we got married, our minister friend who officiated very masterfully included toy trains in our ceremony, telling us that had we grown up in an earlier time, we might have started our honeymoon with a trip on the Flying Yankee. It was fantastic, and ever since our wedding day, Sue has wanted one for the collection. With our train room already full, I'm not necessarily "in the hunt" for anything in particular, but I do keep my eyes open for certain special items, and this is definitely one of them. And, as you can see, I've already made room for it.
