These appear to be at the dealers. Any sight/photo of them? The last few releases of small Legacy steam were great and I’m hoping this in another one. I have the custom run NKP coming (pickup this weekend). I’m hoping the colors on all of them turn out correct. Would love to see photos of the various road names if you’ve received one.

We are always nervous about the silver as you never know what to expect it seems. Hopefully all will be well, and I wouldn't mind adding one of these at some point myself. Fingers crossed!
Spot on, Randy. Other than the green Southern, the road names are primarily black (don’t know about all the special runs). So, if the smoke boxes turn out graphite, most of them should be good to go.
My Wabash is on the way from Mr. Muffin! Will gladly post pix next week.
Unfortunately, the Southern green looks a bit off to me. That's unfortunate after the stellar color matches for the CN Heritage units.
I have a recently purchased Lionel New York Central 2-8-0 Consolidation about which I will be posting this evening. The graphite color looks good to me.

I get my NKP version tomorrow. From Steve Nelson’s photos, it looks perfect.
My Southern Railway Atlantic is scheduled to arrive via FedEx tomorrow.

I received my New Haven Atlantic today from Nassau Hobby, and it looks fantastic.
Sounds are great, and all lights, stack smoke, and whistle smoke are functional. I know there is always a little concern with smokebox colors after a few models came out that were too light, so I am very happy to see the color on this model. Smokeboxes on New Haven engines always looked very dark, and almost black in many color photos of New Haven steam, so Lionels rendition here is excellent. The headlight number plate is different than the catalog, which is a good thing - it is not only more accurate for the model, but it also looks gorgeous.
Hit it out of the park Lionel.

Wow!, Skip! Great looking new steamer captured in an incredible shot. I think the Atlantics are winners. Pics of my NKP are coming tomorrow, but the verdict is already in. Again, your photo is tremendous.
Glad to see that Lionel (or rather the factory) got the smokebox graphite right instead of the hideous light primer gray they've been pushing to us over the past couple of years.
I may have missed it on the forum, but has anyone commented on how bright the LED class lights are on Lionel's more recent releases. IMHO they seem too bright, almost if not more bright than the headlight.
WOw! These look fantastic!
These look really good. I like that the pilot wheels aren't that shiny machined look.
We’ve seen the NKP, New Haven, and NYC. Would love to see the rest. This appears to be a great Legacy release.

Skip, you always capture a great shot. Seems to me that you have a great relationship with the crew of all these engines you photograph. Just kidding, great scene. I had to pass on these.
My Southern arrived today from MrMuffin. When I get home I will open and share!
I'm anxiously awaiting mine. I think it's a great looking locomotive from the pictures and videos in this thread!
I am anxious to see if the Southern green color matches that in the Lionel catalog. It seems that what is in the catalog does not match the color of the actual model in many cases. Looking forward to someone posting the pictures of the Southern 4-4-2 as I am considering getting one.

Second engine from Lionel that they cannot get the green right on their steam engines. The green is too light just like the 4-6-0 they made a couple of years ago.

You know they have a problem when the real one starts looking like the wrong color to people.

I'll post pictures of my Wabash later tonight.
Well I’m gonna enjoy running mine……couldn’t give two hoots about the color match……still looks good to me! To each his own

Absolutely run it and have fun. That’s all that matters anyway!

In all fairness . That lighting makes it nearly impossible to tell what shade of green that color is.
Imo . If anything ,the Lionel loco may be a tad dark, but unless someone can roll 1604 outside. Lionel has done much worse.( the split pea soup GN b6 or the Christmas green Rio Grande challenger come to mind)

It’s definitely sharp looking. Your layout looks terrific, too. I would love to see more pictures of it!
Fantastic, N’awl. The Wabash turned out awesome.
