I hope everyone is having a nice December. Haven't posted anything in a while, but I have been working on some more restorations. Here are some of my latest efforts - All disassembled, stripped, checked over mechanically (and repaired as required), rewired, repainted, and then reassembled. Some were repainted into original paint schemes, while others were painted in colors not offered by Lionel. Also included is my first ever Ives restoration - A 3252 "electric". I decided to install Lionel latch-type couplers, since all of my cars are Lionel, plus, they're easy to change if I ever get any Ives cars. It is painted back into it's original scheme, although I think the red is a bit brighter than the factory color.

My latest project is not directly related to the layout but is important to its future development. I am trying clean up and organize my workshop area so that further layout progress can proceed. The workroom has turned into a real mess over the last few years.
Randy - That's one project I also need to get started on! My work table has gotten a bit cluttered!
Jonathan:
Mine was not a bit cluttered. Until my assistant and former French horn performance student, Zora Maya Keith, who comes over most Sunday mornings to help with the layout finally said that the big "shoveling out" had to be done, I had not seen the top of my workbench in several years.
I am now down to bare workbench top and can finally install the spray-paint booth that I built as well as add a self-built shelf system to keep the unfinished/future projects off of the work surface. I won't see Zora Maya until after the first of the year but, I am at a point where I can continue with the task myself.
Jonathan V-great work on these models. They look pristine. Do you have before photos so that we can see the transformation?
Randy Harrison-sounds like you're attempting the impossible, lol. Once you do please share an image for motivational purposes.

Here's a pic of the Terra Cotta 252 as it looked when it arrived in the mail. It was rough! The wheels were so bad that the mechanism wouldn't turn, but all of the pieces were there!
