Really liked it, Especially the caboose shots and near the end the Steamer shot taken on an adjacent track.
Very nice camera work. A pleasure to watch.
Very nicely done!!!! A really nice layout. Tom
Nice views of a great layout. I like it when the E units run under the camera!!!
Excellent video capture. I love getting up close to stuff and giving it some growth to look more like the real thing. Very enjoyable.
Very nice ! I like it.
Very nicely done Ralph - we enjoyed watching
Outstanding!
some nice choreography there with passing trains and subjects moving in and out of frame. Must have been a lot of work, but a lot of fun to do.
Tim

Thanks Ralph - I loved it! Great tracking shots, very cool. Wow that steamer sure smokes great. I'm gonna watch it again. -Ken
Ralph, I too really enjoyed this, especially the eye level "tracking" shots. Could you describe the mechanism you used for your tracking mechanism?
Thanks for posting!
I Couldn't find your email. Is ther anyway I can down load the video. My Autistic daughter constantly is asking to watch the video. Which is great.
Ralph....real good ! i always liked your videos..watched them alot when i started to get involved in oscale...your layout has a good vibe...nice,,conrail john
Thank you all for the kind words. I've had the same layout and same trains for years now and it's always a challenge to find a new way to present it so that it seems "fresh". I hit upon the idea of using the moving-camera-POV shots for an entire movie. Seems like it worked.

@Timothy Sprague: Yes, I shot hours of video over the course of 3-4 days only to edit it down to a 12 min movie.
>>>Wow that steamer sure smokes great<<<
@Ken-Oscale: Yes, I love my Decapod. Looks good, pulls like a mule and smokes up a storm.
>>>Could you describe the mechanism you used for your tracking mechanism?<<<
@PeterA: Pretty low-tech. COFC - Camera On Flat Car. Sometimes pushed, sometimes towed and sometimes helped along by a RailKing GP7 w/PS2 for the pacing shots.

@Suzukovich: E-Mail sent.
