Thank you so much Jim....The EL downtown in Chicago was one reason why I modeled one in my city...

Thanks Richard!.....I think we will be coming to the next Memphis meet...I'll let you know!

I've read about some of the guys on here who used to wait for the new Lionel catalogs to come out when they were kids and even as adults. I, on the other hand, can't wait for photos of your layout Alan. The great city scenes accented by the morning light captured at very well composed viewing angles is a real treat!!
Beautiful pics!

Well, you nailed it !!!
Alan,
The lighting and its effect on your layout made for some great photo's! Thanks for posting them.
Alan the light really sets the scene and the additional people that you added increase the realism dramatically. Is your lady in pink in the second picture Veronica Turbines sister? Reminds me of her.
Please keep on sharing.
I am not sure if any of you have noticed, but in Alan's beautiful photo essay all of the trains pictured are passenger service. Now that is what I call great taste in trains.

Thank you Bill!!.... The lady in pink is a cousin of Veronica. Her name is Chastity. She lives in a downtown apartment and is visited by Veronica whenever she is in town "doing business". Chastity spends a lot of time trying to convince Veronica to "mend her ways".....

Thanks Brian....by the way, are there trains other than passenger consists...??
Alan
"by the way, are there trains other than passenger consists...??"
The last time I checked, the answer is no.
Great pictures, you are becoming quite good with that camera. A super layout.
Great detail Alan well done!

Thanks Richard...I didn't realize that it wasn't until October before the next meet...I may not be able to come since it is so close to preparing for York..
Alan, I was afraid of that. I hope to be able to attend York this year also. I have a busy fall this year- my daughter is expecting our second grandchild to arrive at the end of October, and my son is getting married in November.
There is always the December show. I promise not to get you lost this time!
Take care,
Richard
Richard....HEY...congrats on another grandchild and your son getting married. Sure hope you get to come to York!!
