Wow. Very nice. I like the roundhouse area. I really need to get one of those.
Nice layout. What kind of turntable are you using with Fastrack, and how did you mate the edges?
I am using the atlas turn table because it is the only affordable alturnative ($150 or so).
I am using Fastrack. All I did was cut a 10" straight in half and notch the roadbed to fit. You do have to shim the height slightly to match the turntable. In the round house I used gargraves track. Thank you for the comments. Jon
Like the track plan and the roundhouse is a great feature for any modle railroad.
Thank you for the photos.
Very nice layout. Do you have three lines to run trains. Ditto on the roundhouse too. Nick
I have two loops on the lower level with some long sidings. The upper level has two short point to point runs. I will post some more pictures shortly. Thank you, Jon
Jon....very nice. I like how you have incorporated some major features. The plan appears well planned!

What is the radius of the largest Fastrack curve?
Very nice Shep. Any chance you have a track diagram to share?
All the best,
Paul
The plan has evolved over the past three years. I am very pleased with the out come. The outer loop is 060 and 048 curves With one 036 that is soon to be replaced with 048. The inner loop is also 060 and 048 with several 036 switches.
I do have a autocad drawing of the track plan. I will try to post it on Monday from my work. Thank you, Jon
Looks really nice. What's your table top material? Is that painted plywood or another material? And it looks like you have the track right on the table top with no additional track bed, correct? Just asking cause I'm trying to figure what to do, if anything, above my plywood.
My table to is just 1/2"OSB on a simple 2" x 4" frame. For now it is just painted green. I do plan to do ground cover and sceenery at a later date. This way I can easily make changes. I currently have nothing under the the track. The track is screwed down in only a few places. It can be noisy but you have to realize a real passing train is very noisy. I have no plans to quiet it down. It is just a personal preferance. Thank you for the kind words. Jon
Looking good.
Thank you for making the time to share your layout with us, I always appreciate pics during all stages of construction. Two thumbs up
I have attached a pdf pile of the autocad drawing for this layout.
Thank You, Jon

SHEP16,
Great FasTrack layout, I love it, the entire layout looks great, including the turn table and round house. Congrats on some fine work, the great thing about the little Atlas turn table is they index very well, and the FasTrack works great with them.

looks nice!! I like the sweeping curves
Nicely done and very tidy with the backdrop and everything. A good practical arrangement for the space. Thanks for the track plan!
Very nice. I like the turntable and roundhouse particularly. Wish Ihad room for them on my layout.
I will have to take some new photos of my latest changes. The best part of using fastrack is that it is easily rearranged.
I like the layout very much. Please show more pix as you go. I recently did a layout with that track and was more than impressed how good it goes together and how tight it stays.
Very nice layout, well done !!! Let's see more photo's and a video of it in action
Thanks,Alex
