The goal of the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History is to educate and entertain kids of all ages. Through themed events and exhibits (such as this event) they promote history and understanding through a unique entertainment medium.
The Southern Museum is currently planning its fourth annual Trains, Trains, Trains event for January 25, 2014 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM Last year, this event surpassed standing records for single day admissions and gift shop sales. What started in their education center has grown to take over the entire 45,000 square foot museum demonstrating the great interest for trains within the community. Appealing to families and model railroad enthusiasts alike, Trains, Trains, Trains offers an array of fun and education through hands-on activities. Every year, the Southern Museum strives to grow this event to make it bigger and better than the year before. This year, their goal is to have at least 7 different operating model layouts. Overall, we wish to continue development and expansion so as to make this program the museum event that people look forward to every year. We invite all of you to attend this informative, educational and most of all fun event!
Bring the kids and the entire family for a day full of toy train and real train activities. There will be layouts of several different gages. Come to this event and talk trains. We encourage all LCCA members and their families to attend and participate in this fun event.
I hope to see you there!
