Well, I can tell you the TCA convention was not at all. I live a hour from that and it was a waste of time. Over priced postwar or list price on newer stuff. I wasted money on tolls going and coming.
Hi Guys,
We are expecting about 100 tables in the trading hall
Friday nite convention attendees only.
Saturday members 8 am till 9 am then public 9 am till 3 pm.
Hope to see you there.

DIRECTOR/LCCA
Is the trading hall no longer a daily event at conventions? The last LCCA convention I attended was 1991 Lancaster...I recall the trading hall being a major attraction almost every day of the convention.

Ever since I have been involved, our trading hall was open to LCCA conventioneers only on Friday evening. The training hall is then open to the public on Saturday. Trading Hall setup is all day Friday. Back in 1991, I don't believe the conventions were a full week long.

Thanks. My memory was probably spotty as I was 15 then....but I think the convention occured during the second half of the week. Perhaps a Friday and Sat trading hall trip is what I am remembering. Oddly I am in the picture on the cover of the Lion Roars featuring that convention...with my parents buying a Lionel 1990 1-700E Scale Hudson...
It was a great trip. Sadly my mother passed away of a rare disease PSP years later. So I am thankful this pic captured the essence of the trip.

Michael, Thank you for sharing. My two sons, Alfonse and Vincent have been attending LCCA Conventions since 1995. These Conventions have forced us to see and visit different parts of this great country. We have a very beautiful and diverse country. Hopefully we created great Memories for our boys. I am forever grateful to the LCCA for being such a positive experience and influence on me and my family. The LCCA conventions have had a very positive affect on my family.
