What I don't understand is why there are caps on the production of these items.

Shouldn't every LCCA member who wants one be able to make the purchase?

Every LCCA member who wants one has the oppertunity to place an order. we have over 7000 members and not all are active in purchasing every product or close to every product. Members join for many different reasons. I must admit on the production of the santa fe 208 ALCO's i had no control due to materials that were available at the time. There are contract agreements we are bound to work under and LIONEL can only get so many items out the door. we are privliged TO HAVE LIONEL TAKE SUCH CARE OF US. If you wish to speak with me privatly don't hesitate call.

best regards

thanks so much for the kind words. We intend to bring to the market place impossible items people say that won't sell , can't sell etc.  these items will be state of the art. one of our members Harry HIEKE international award winning model maker produces our samples for lionel. Hi Lou, looking forward in seeing you up in Portland, Oregon later this month.  I want you to put my name on one of the Texas special switcher sets, a must have with my Texas layout.  I ditto what Keith said about you guys doing a bang up job and offering some very exciting items for members.  See you in Portland.

I'll throw this out there Lou, but ANY outside chance that LCCA would do the 600E Tinplate Hudson? I imagine the tooling to be fairly extreme (ie: expensive) as I've read the model is not simply a bashed 400E. That would certainly draw some serious attention however and fit the mission statement of " ...bring to the market place impossible items people say won't sell". I imagine with 7,000 members these would go - even if LCCA auctioned off some at LCCA conventions.

Great job on the new tinplate set by the way. The description of the colors makes me feel like I'm being hustled at the car dealership! Yeah - had to have it after that. Thanks for all you do for the hobby.

Very Nice web site I enjoyed searching through it.  BUT.... you need to screen some of the You Tube video that pop up as selectable after viewing your posted ones.

There is some inappropriate (for your web site) material.  After watching the one on the ZW-L, I could select from the following:

A birthing video, and another with the "F" word used in the title.  Not sure how these are selected? Or why they show up.

Lou Caponi along with the LCCA board have done it again. That Tin Plate set is knockout gorgeous. Boy am I glad I sent in my deposit.

The 60 Tonner is a 44T lovers dream and I can't wait to see the color scheme.

GGG, I believe this is a function of YouTube and not the LCCA website. Unfortunately, we have no control over what You Tube adds as possible related topics. Al K.

The reason that the other videos show up is because a lot of O gauge videos have no tags or the wrong tags. You have to carefully select the words for your tags on you YouTube videos. You must go back and edit the TAGS section of the video to get the desireable results.

about ever 10 years or so LCCA would produce a seperate sale locomotive to pull 10 years worth of convention cars. we had dropped it. now people have sent letters and e-mails asking to bring them back so what the membership wants the membership gets in most cases.

this switcher will be done in union pacfic and super cool looking i promise.

the art is being done now.

thanks

THANKS MARIO. MY INTENTION IS TO BRING TO THE O GAUGE MARKET THE ITEMS THE MANUFACTURERS CLAIM ARE TO DIFFICULT TO PRODUCE. AS YOU KNOW MARIO I WAS ONCE INVOLVED GETTING PRODUCTS PRODUCED IN ASIA.

I INTEND TO BRING INTEREST AND EXCITEMENT BACK TO THE MARKET PLACE. AS YOU KNOW MARIO I WILL NEVER GIVE UP. I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN.

REGARDS MY GOOD FRIEND

LOUIE

So that IS a covered coal unloading trestle!!  I just scratchbuilt one for round

"concrete" coal silos, but I emailed this to a friend who collects Heinz stuff.  An

old issue of Railroad Model Craftsman had an article on various kinds of retail

coal dealers.

Unfortunately, to lessen the paper mill and the cost of too many train and other memberships I let my LCCA membership lapse.
