The LCCA created and Lionel produced some limited edition train products for our LCCA conventioneers who attended the LCCA’s 48th Annual Convention last week in Lombard IL. The first 400 conventioneers who registered and stayed at the host hotel received a FREE unique Lionel trolley made especially for this convention. Members were also able to purchase this beautiful on-site LCCA tank car made by Lionel. This is just another benefit for belonging to the LCCA.

So, if you live local to the Chicago area and would not be staying at the hotel, you are not eligible to get the trolley? Please tell me I am missing something here.

You are missing something. You need to be a member of the l.c.c.a. and register for the convention to purchase the convention cars. The hotel should have nothing to do with the convention.
If you are local to the convention you do not have to stay at the host hotel to be eligible to receive the trolley registration gift

You do not have to stay at the hotel if you live within 50 miles of the convention.

That is a very good rate for any hotel. Now if only I can get enough time off. Looks fun. BigRail
The LCCA Convention was a fantastic experience. The Lionel Team gave a great product review and news of a grand opening of their new retail store in an upscale mall in NC. Yes, Lionel is Listening to our wants and needs...The Westin Hotel was great, their shuttle service was fantastic. The Chicagoland Model Railroad Club have a great layout, great hospitality, friendly atmosphere. Thank you LCCA for a great 48th Convention. Happy Railroading....

Yep, I live 35 miles from the hotel, so I didn't stay there, and I received the very nice trolley in Chicago Surface Lines colors. Thanks, LCCA!

It's over until next year. LCCA usually gets a decent room rate for convention guests.
Thank you all for attending the convention
