Hmmmm,imagine that!

You state that like its a gimme .. not always the case .. I tried getting parts for the famous lift brige several months after it was out and there were none.. my buddy the same with the illustrious Back Shop.. still have a scar on my finger from the cut i got from the edge of that thing Wink..
I'm still waiting to get Lou's input on this issue, but I think I remember reading on these pages that the LCCA test runs all it's products before they go out. Please don't quote me on that, it is only based on long term memory of other topics we have had in the past and I can't say who said it.

What I should of said above is that I can't recall who said it. Oops

Here is the deal. Did you ever buy a new car and have to take it back for service? Sure you have at some time in your life. Not every THING is made 100% perfect. I try and do the very best I can from here in the USA to offer quality products to our members. our Generals are being produced by another company that strictly makes higher end loco's for LIONEL.These things will be fine there is no doubt in my mind.
thanks

SCOTT,I have some great news to share. out of the 1300 generals produced we have had under 10 pc's that required repair. That shows a vast improvement in quality control.

Also, MIKE REAGAN has been quite helpful on answering any questions regarding these locomotives. The clubs web site lists a note sent by MIKE today regarding questions about the smoke units and wheels be quartered properly.

people on the forum thought there was a problem but MIKE once again cleared the air.

hope this puts everyone at rest.
