Well the LCCA "Switching Tracks" Traveling Boxcar had a very busy and exciting weekend.    This brand  new LCCA Car made it's debut at the LCCA and Lionel display this past weekend at the WGHOT show in Hampton VA.   Lionel Team  members Bill Wander (L) , Lauren Morris, J. Don Reece and Mike Phillips (R) were with the  first " LCCA Switching Track Traveling Boxcar" in Hampton VA.  This car traveled extensively this weekend and made stops at the Kids Run Train Layout, and the TOGA modular layout at the WGHOT Show.  Later in the day, this car visited and made stops on the impressive layout at the Children's Museum of Virginia in Portsmouth VA.  and at LCCA Member Rick Williams impressive home layout.  His grandson Jacob had a great time running this car on his Grampa's  layout.

People will have an opportunity to see this same car at the WGHOT Show this next weekend in Raleigh NC.  A second car will make its public debut at the Arctic Run Train show in Stevens Point WI this weekend Jan. 17 & 18.  Stop by and meet with LCCA Volunteer Tim Fuhrmann and see another LCCA Switching Track Traveling Boxcar.   For more details, please visit the "Special Events" tab on our website www.lionelcollectors.org.

If you are interested in participating in this new LCCA Switching Track Traveling  boxcar program, please contact LCCA member Tim Fuhrmann at fuhrmanntim@hotmail.com

Let's have some fun and we hope we can see you this weekend!

Travel safe

If you are  an LCCA member and you want to put this car on your layout or display, please send an e-mail  request to Tim Fuhrmann  (email address above)   We will make arrangements to send you a car with the expectations that you will photograph the car on your layout and submit to LCCA.  You will then return the car to the LCCA so it can be sent to another LCCA member.  Our goal is to get photos of members with these cars on their layouts in all 50 states.  It is intended to be a fun event for our members to participate in and possibly have their photos published in our club publications, website and Facebook sites. It is a great way for members to share photos of their layouts or displays.  Any questions, please call me at 248 709-4137.
