LCCA Switching Tracks Box Car in Rhode Island

Could not think of a better place for it to go while in Rhode Island. Way to go Captain John. Nice of Paul to bring it along.

Nice John,  What is an LCCA traveling box car?  Does it literally travel state to state through club member's layouts?

Very cool John. I had one at my house last weekend. 

As John mentioned, we had fun yesterday running the LCCA car on Johns magnificent layout. I figured being the smallest state, we can send two submissions - one from Johns layout and one from my STSLCCRR (Short Time Short Line Carpet Central RailRoad)

Wood, the travelling boxcar is a nice project where four of these cars go to different parts of the country to be run on folks layouts. I believe the goal is one stop in each of the fifty states.

Chris, love the pic on your layout. Brian - I agree, no better place in RI than Capt Johns to run trains.

It was on the Seattle & Yakima RR a couple weeks ago.

On a snowy day in Buffalo NY, Sunday March 22, LCCA's switching Tracks Traveling Boxcar made it's TV debut during the 53rd Annual Variety Kids Telethon on ABC's Channel 7.

Great photos!  Glad to see it was in the Ocean State.  Car #5 was at my home a month ago.

Great photos, earlier this month car #7 was on my layout, here in Springfield, MO.

Once again, thanks to the LCCA for letting me play in this reindeer game and Capt John for having me over for some pictures. Here is the car first  on Johns layout. Then on the Carpet Central in my home on another snowy morning in late March.

The LCCA Switching Tracks Traveling Boxcar made its MLB debut at Detroit's Comerica Park for opening day of the Detroit Tigers.  

I enjoyed the glimpse of the Benney's billboard and the Olneyville System sign in the origional post video. I used to live in Olneyville when I was in college and have a lot of good memories of my time in Providence. Like having to wait during my walk to studio down Atwells Ave while P&W switched paper cars at the ProJo press before the Mall was built over the NEC and Woonsquatucket river crossing.
