hi guys, so my red PDI led on my LCS Wifi stays on solid.  Everything works as supposed to, however the instructions say that's a cable problem.  When I went to reset by pushing the WPS when powered on as per instructions the leds flash but don't stop.  I swamped out the DB-9 cable and same issue.  Anyone else having this happen.

Also I have the IPad LCS App.  The iPhone one I find in the App Store is $49.99 is that correct why is the iPhone one so expensive?

Any news on Advanced App for MTH DCS release?

Thanks for you time and any help in this.

Actually, the differnce is the LCS app is meant for laout control and gives you the GUI of the layout control panels and has the secondary ability to run trains. The LCS app will not run on an iPhone. The iCab app is the primary app meant for running trains and gives you all the controls of the Legacy handheld. This app will run on the phone and the iPad

hey Bryan,

How do you want the LCS WiFi configured or added into your layout control equipment?

A legacy base or Base1L must be connected to the cable and powered on. Then, the PDI light will blink indicating that it is communicating with the base.

if you are controlling a powermaster, you have to switch the LCS WiFi to "No Base" mode.

The WPS is used for connecting to the home network router. Typically, one has to push the WPS button on that first and then on the LCS WiFi to pair the devices automatically. I would suggest setting the LCS WiFi to access point mode and let the iPad find it as a network. Don't join it to the home network just yet.

I have it configured correctly for use with a legacy base and the LCS WIFI.  It is connected thru a DB9 cable.  I can send commands and it works the red PDI led just stays on.  Also the wifi module will not reset per instructions that came with it.  When I depress the   The wps button and insert the PDI as per instructions and hold WPS button for 5 seconds the red and green led flash( instructions say three times).  The just blink continuously until I remove power.  I've waited as long as 5 minutes.  The middle light that is yellow or amber (which ever you call it) on my legacy base.  Should it blink continuously or just when commands are sent.  I have it correct thru access point as well.

Thanks for info so far guys.  Again I can run my trains VIA the LCS app and my legacy remote.  Why  would that light stay on?

Dothese problems speak of a module issue?  Again thanks so much for helping me out guys.  I'll post some pics of setup if a'll would find that useful.

It's unusual that the LEDs are indicating a problem, yet as you say everything appears to be working correctly. You could contact Lionel customer service and describe the problem. It could be an issue with the LCS DB9 cable, the command base or the LCS WiFi. Normally when you're not using the App or the remote, the yellow LED on the Legacy Base should blink about once per second.
