Hi All,

I upgraded to a Google Nest system that does not have WPS functionality.  I have the LPS Wifi Controller and I can't figure out how to add it to my network.  I did not change the Wifi Name or Password from the old system.

Using the LCS Wifi Monitor LE program, I found it via its IP and I also saw it in my Wifi's Connected Devices App.

The LE program connects to it so I get the green Connected status, but after about 30 seconds, it changes to it is closing.

Connected

Is there any way to reconnect the Wifi Controller to my network?  I would prefer it be there rather than an access point (which works fine) so I don't have to change Wifi networks.

Thanks in advance.

John,

Thanks, I'll try it tonight.  As for what you add manually, what are the steps - is the setting in the Nest Router or in the LCS?  I just want to make sure I'm entering the correct info.

I started with the Verizon router, and then I bought the Google WiFi mesh units and connected to those.  I have to confess, I don't remember the exact sequence I went through, but I remember I first had to reset the WiFi unit and connect with a dedicated computer to connect the LCS Wifi Monitor LE to it.  After configuring the WiFi box with the LCS Wifi Monitor LE, it had no problem connecting to the router.  The configuration was the same as any WiFi device, network name and password.

Note that the WiFi units from Lionel and MTH only run at 2.4ghz 802.11b, so modern routers may have to be configured to allow 2.4ghz compatibility, that trips up people at times.
