I think my legacy remote is having a problem with the batteries. I purchased some batteries recommended to me on here, charged them up and threw them in the remote. They work but they only last a few hours then I have to take them out and charge them again. Any ideas? All 4 are at 1.43 volts. https://www.amazon.com/Tenergy...3F0PZ59A9S1F2EDY3AP6

Same problem here. In fact, the recharging on the base doesn't seem to work at all. I remove one battery when done running trains. Otherwise, I am "cooking" batteries in the re-charger constantly.

I don't recharge in the base. I just use a separate charger.
I use the same ones. I get around 8-10 hours from them, but I don't get a lot more from Alkaline batteries, so I think that's pretty much as good as it gets.
If you want a long life primary battery for the remote, consider the Energizer Lithium AA Battery.
I ended up putting the power supply for the Legacy Command Base and the SER2 on a separate power strip/switch.
When I am not running TMCC/Legacy I just leave the switch off.
If I haven't run TMCC/Legacy for a while (long enough that I am concerned that the batteries will discharge from sitting, I turn the switch on while running the other trains to operate the charger.
John,
I have used those Ultimatel lithium Batteries, they are great! And the price is good!!
Fred
I'm putting these in anything that I want to have long life.
