I am trying to set up a Lionmaster TMCC challenger to run with my Legacy controller. I was following the legacy 990 manual and was going ok until I came to the part that said to insert the TMCC module into the controller to download the tmcc info. unfortunately when I went to look for the module, it was not in box. there were only 3 cutouts in foam for 2 blue modules (upgrade) and 1 black one. can anyone tell me where to get the TMCC module that the Legacy manual say's should be included and is not? do I need it ? because my challenger is not hooked to the controller. thanks herb miller

You can do without it. Following the instructions in the Legacy manual, you can manually enter the necessary info into your CAB2 remote in order to operate your locomotive.
thanks, one thing I am confused about is how to set the tmcc mode option on the info menu. do I just select it or do I have to set it somehow? thanks herb
You hit Info, Scroll twice, and press the softkey below the TMCC. Press Info again and you're back to normal operation. That stores the operation type for that engine in the command base. Of course, you might want to enter the other information like Road Name, Cab Number, locomotive type, etc. Those are all accessed in the Info menu using the scroll key.
thanks everybody for your help. this forum is such a help to us newbies. and thanks john for simplifying it for me. herb miller
