Legacy and Scaletrax

I recently started to buy Scaletrax and I'm intersested in a Legacy Locomotive (Norfolk and Western SD40-2). I was wondering how Legacy engines preform on Scaletrax? Does the remote system hook up and operate well on the track?(This will be my first Legacy Engine.)
