Good Morning Guys,

Several years ago at York I was able to talk to Jerry Calabrese and Neil Young on the up coming new Legacy Control System. I was able to tell Jerry and Neil what  I would like to see in the new Legacy system. Jerry was very attentive as I explained the two most important (To me) features I would like to see in Legacy: those being 4 digit ID and more then 99 engines and more then 9 trains (Multi engines setups). Neil had said to me and I quote " We can do that, that's not rocket science". Well here we are years past and we have the same inadequate system that we had in TMCC. I think the only way we are going to get Lionel to improve the system is to write and write and write to get something done. After all it is "Not rocket science"

Problem is Neil is a concept guy, Jon Z is the guy who has to make it work.  If there was a way to get more than 99 engine I think Jon would have done it from the get go.  Maybe it isn't "Rocket Science" but it could have to do with keeping it all working with past products.

I could certainly be wrong but we ask this question at at least 1 LUG meeting a year and the answer we get back from the CTO Jon Zahornacky is it's a hardware limitation.

I got the e-mail from Ro as well saying they are backordered.  My only mistake was not waiting until I had something else to order because they would basically ship for "free" with something else.

If anyone gets reliable intel on when they are going to start shipping the next batch, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
