Been running my new MR #261 now off and on for over a week without a hitch.
This engine has performed flawless in every way except one.
When I switch off to another Lionel legacy engine after shutdown on the same loop it begins to slowly creep.
I've had other Legacy engines do this occasionally, but this one creeps every time I switch engines without powering down.
Anyone know if there is a fix for this???

I hope someone chimes in on this query. I believe that I, too, occasionally have this problem. After switching to another loco, the previous loco (diesel, usually GP7 with Legacy) starts a slow forward creep. I used to think that I inadvertently moved the red knob off zero velocity while I was still addressing that engine, but I've been careful, and believe it the previously-addressed loco goes to a low velocity all by itself.

Greenline - Thank you. That answers it. I did some experimentation today, to confirm what you said. I was touching the red Legacy knob accidentally after shutting down an engine, before addressing another one. Seems unprototypical to have an engine you deliberately "shut down" respond to velocity commands before you "start up" again...
