I have a lionel legacy Norfolk and Western J (Spirit of Roanoke version) that starts up as soon as I turn on track power. I've had this engine for over a year, and it only just started doing this today. I've tried reprogamming it multiple times, which seems to have had no effect. The strangest thing is that when I turn on track power while the engine is in program mode, the headlight and smoke unit will turn on after a second or two, even before I've pressed the set button. The engine still responds to all other commands correctly, but I would still like to solve this problem. I'm just hoping that I didn't somehow damage one of the boards by accident. Does anyone know what could be causing this or what I should do to fix it?
