The trailing truck and front pilot wheels fell off taking it out of the box new. I knew about this ahead of time. I ordered the plastic parts from Lionel. Anything special I need to know about installation?
Or just insert plastic parts on the axles and snap in? Thanks in advance. Nick

Mine did the same thing. Yes, they just snap in.
If they aren't broken double check that they weren't installed upside down. Otherwise....what earl said.

Yea Rick the little plastic pieces were crumbled into particles. I have new ones on their way from Lionel. Only cost a couple of bucks. Thanks. Nick
What is the Lionel number on that engine?
The last time this happened (the run that came with the poster in the box and Rich Melvin’s cab chatter), the trick was to buy the bearings from the original legacy release (2009?) they had a different part number. Not sure if they’re still available.
