I installed through the black module on my Legacy Cab 2 the upgrade 1.5 today. The install went well. I ran my Polar Ice legacy engine around and decided to do a record, and playback. The record went well, but when I went to play back the record, the engine did not respond and irradically went into reverse causing a mild derail, of which my lockon kicked the power off. Now when power is applied to locomotive it causes a short, and no matter what status I switch to locomotive to (program or run) it goes in reverse and trips the (lockon --- breaker). I switched it to conventional mode and will only go in reverse. Is there some way to reset, or do I have a major issue here? Can't figure out what caused this to happen. I can't get it to sit on the tracks long enough for my Legacy to power up. Its a new legacy engine (Christmas). Do I need to visit Canfield?

Well, I think I'd let Lionel warranty service handle this one. I'm not sure that the playback had anything to do with this issue, sounds like an internal locomotive issue.

I visited Canfield. As usual the boys did a great job on repairing the Polar Ice Diesel. I was surprised to hear that two electronics boards were faulty (thank goodness it was under warranty) They replaced the RCMC board, and a light board. Thanks again DN. I was on my way in a couple of hours, after a through check on their track.
What's an RMCM board?

I think it is a RCMC. The Tech in Canfield, OH called it that. Not to familiar but it was the board in my Polar Ice Legacy Diesel AC-6000.

Bill, that's one I hadn't heard of yet. I don't take many Legacy locomotives apart yet, since they haven't given me any trouble. I also wait at least for the warranty to expire.
