Got this cleared off the workbench so I can continue my scenery work this winter. Lionel certainly set the Kadee mounts up correctly. They provided the screws to mount the adapters but I had to provide my own 2mm hardware to mount the actual couplers. I filled in the pilot with 1/16” styrene. I was thinking about building out the bulkhead around the draft gear since Lionel even set the coupler boxes out from the end right but decided to bail. Here’s some quick shots now that I did a quick weathering on it. Also shot a crawl vid at roll speed. I wish they would have put 4 rollers on it since it found a couple switches it didn’t like at roll speed.

Wonderful rendition of this unit! I know there are several videos and tutorials out there on the weathering process, but I would love to see how you weather your engines and rolling stock.
Excellent work Norm.
Thx you guys! I didn’t go too crazy with special effects on this, it’s just fairly standard airbrush weathering with Model Masters acrylics (grimy black, RR tie brown, rust). I may run it back into the workshop to dry brush the running gear a bit.

May be a dumb question, but could you put a super cap between the motor (s) and the electronics?
Nice Job Norm - Looks great on the layout, love the slow creep... did you convert all your locomotives and rolling stock to Kadees?

Another fantastic job Norm! Curious, what is the roller spacing on this and does it have traction tires? Have an MTH A-B-B-A set that would die on a 30 degree crossing because the insulated rail on the next straight coupled with the insulated rails of the crossing left the truck "ungrounded". Might loss of common be your issue as well?
Well done as always Norm. Looks nice.
To be fair, this will clear all my switches at any speed above roll, which is still very slow and smooth. No worries. Not sure if it actually runs slower than my other Legacy diesels, I will have to check that out sometime.
Can anyone direct me to a video on Legacy NW2 switcher on how to install Kadee couplers or step by step photos

Really? Your layout looks "done" to these eyes!
Seriously, great work as always...

Bill I’ve been following your other post, and if anyone can, Norm can...

Could the rollers have a jumper run between them? I've done that with AMT F units that have only 1 roller per truck (admittedly there's a lot more room in an F unit to run jumpers, but a thin run of Superflex might be able to be worked through with some coaxing).
Norm, Excellent workmanship, your very talented. You should meet SIRT from the forum as he is also fantastic at model weathering. Wow... Question, which command system do you like best? Just wondering. Happy Railroading
Just curious Norm did you do your Speedtest. To me it looks like the NW2 travels about 30 feet
