My legacy remote shows the battery icon decreasing in charge and goes blank and won't control after about 10 minutes of use. If I place it back into the charger base and hit the ctc , it shows a full battery icon and then performs normally - for about 10 minutes. The process can be repeated indefinitely. I have changed batteries and even recharged the batteries in a separate battery charger. Has anyone had this problem??

Have you tried regular alkaline batteries? If they discharge as quickly I would suspect a remote issue. Some one else just had this issue. Not sure of the outcome. If the batteries, including alkaline discharge quickly call customer service for an RA. Make sure you tell them everything you tried.

A few weeks ago I sent my remote to Ohio because it totally discharge my batteries in less than 24Hrs., no matter what kind or brand of batteries I use, I had to remove the batteries from the remote and put them back every time I run my trains, Lionel sent me a new remote and that was the end of the nightmare; thanks Lionel.
