I only use my legacy handheld contol for CAB-1 when I enter an engine number it shows CAB-1 MODE on the screen. However when I enter Engine 10 where it say CAB-1 MODE with my other engine numbers the train brake screen appears and when you turn the red throttle knob the bar moves across the train brake screen the throttle vibrates and the engine doesnt move. I have no desire to use this train brake feature, how do you get rid of it for Engine number 10 and get enigne number 10 into CAP-1 MODE?  Engine number 10 is  a Lionel GS Daylight engine number 4410.   This is my first time on O Gauge Railroad Form.

Thank you, Rick

Are you sure you haven't got the train brake slider on the left of the remote pulled down? That can happen by accident and stop an engine from moving out when it's addressed. I can't figure out how this relates to CAB-1 mode but does your engine have TMCC or Legacy controls? If your engine is a TMCC model, it won't respond to Legacy controls if that is the setting the remote has defaulted to. You can change this by accessing the INFO for the engine and checking what it says under the CONTROL section (third from left).  Before someone else says it, it helps to have the Lionel SKU for the engine in question.

Thank you very much Handcock52.

The owneres manual says the engine is GS-2/GS-6         72-8079-250 with Trainmaster, Railsound 5.0 and Odyssey.   I have never used the brake slider bar and I did try it in + and - .  With the engine number 4410 I finally just reentered a new engine ID of 44 and everything works as normal.  When I still enter engine number 10 it still is the same so I will just consider engine number 10 somehow corupted and not use that number.

There are some places on the layout where the TMCC signal is weak.   We have run a ground wire around the layout. The Atlas O engines loose the signal in about three places but the Lionel engines run all around but the Lionel headlight flickers a little in these same spots.  Any ideas.  At this point we run the Atlas O engines in conventional mode.   Thank you, Rick
