My wife and I visited Jim Thorpe Pa on Sunday July 14,2013. We took a ride on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway that follows the Lehigh River gorge between the mountains.
The ride lasts one hour, walking/bike path follows the tracks beside the river. We had very nice weather, rode the open car took a lot of photos, I will post a few of them.
I hope to return for the fall foliage trip in October, I can only imagine how beautiful the mountains will look.

It is a nice ride. Watch the schedule both on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway site, and on the Reading and Northern site, as their have been some serious talk about 425 being ready and working in October.
