Set to work this weekend trying to get the bridge components weathered and installed. Wasn't planning on making the full connection but once I got everything in place, I couldn't resist slapping on some flex track and running some trains!! Of course I got nothing else done the rest of the day.....

Nice work, Don!
I see you have your LV U23Bs running. Are they back from the detailing/weathering shop? I seem to recall that you had mentioned a while back that you had sent them to a friend's for some work.

Great video. I have been working on my U boat today. It now has a snow plow and non-molded on MU hoses.
That bridge will be a really nice scene when it is done.
Don, Very nice string of freight....Fantastic....
Thanks Dennis
Hey Bill
Yes Ben Brown wired the motors in sequence for me and installed LEd constant lighting. They really run great now and I just need to weather them.
Ken- post some pics when you can. They really are nice engines and pull very well....have you had a chance to run your yet?
Thanks Dennis- will be posting more when I can......
Please address the chassis/wheel/rail sound. Dubbed? In various box cars? Under layout? Non directional subwoofer? Very nice touch.
I have often thought that the Sound Blox company should offer turnout sound chips. Especially for yard throats.
I have been mezmerized lately with video and sound dubbing. That is real sound taken from a youtube train clip and dubbed into a clip I took with my camera. All of the atmospheric sounds of railroading really make for a realistic scene. I am taking these movies on a digital camera that is a few years old and the quality is not very good. Plan to get a real vid camera soon.....
To rip audio from any youtube vid (don;t pick one too long as it seems to time out)
use this application:
http://www.vidtomp3.com/index.php
I then use Window's movie maker to dub them in simply by using the "add music" button and designating the start and finish in seconds.

Don,
Great video and great layout. Like you I seem to be collecting the Atlas SW's.
To me they are the best Atlas loco built.

The videos are great. I almost skipped this thread thinking the title was referring to a train show though.
Please stick around and post even if they remove your Avatar. I don't care one way or the other about Avatars and I'd never report it to them, but they have a policy here about needing to have your image in there if you have an Avatar and they generally have enforced it in the past.
Again, great stuff!
Nice.
Hey Malcolm,
Oh yes I have loads of them. They run so well...strong pullers too. YOu can;t go wrong with them.
Love your work by the way. Always amazes me what can be done with those packages of Evergreen

Hey Christopher
I didn't know that...thought it was a server glitch. I couldn;t figure out why it kept dissappearing. Ok now I will find a good pic for the old avatar.
What do you use for a vid camera? I am a big N&W fan and enjoy your layout quite a bit. I even picked up some N&W power for those LV run-throughs from Buffalo.
Best,
Don

Don,
Mine is not an Atlas it is a Weaver. The guy that I got it from uses TMCC so it has the guts ripped out. I really won't know how it runs until I can get a decoder in it. Does wiring the motors in series help much?
Hey Christopher
What do you use for a vid camera?
Don,
Thanks. I have a point and shoot camera Canon Powershot SD800 IS that has video as well. I have a lot of light in the basement so I can just take snapshots with it without a flash. For video I do use a tripod. I could probably make better shots if I set up extra lamps to direct light better.
