That you own an electrical company that does industrial work and that you do a lot of business for factories on your area.

Let's also say this is about 1960.

Let's further say that, among your other belongings, you own two large pickups.  One has a tool box in the bed crossways behind the cab and the other has two side mount tool boxes.  Both have pipe frames for carrying ladders and other long stuff.

What else would one be likely to find in the beds of these pickups?

And just for fun, what color would these trucks be and what would the signs on the doors have written on them?

Rolls of wire, partial and full

Kindorf/Unistrut - lengths too short for the pipe rack

Threaded rod

Boxes of assorted pipe hangers and clamps

Pipe threader and stand

Hanks of rope for wire puller, along with a wire puller

Box of scrap wire for beer money

Assorted junk "too good to throw out," old safety switches and motor starters, pull boxes, long lengths of bent conduit

 

Trucks would be rusty red or rusty tannish/yellow, going "pink" with rust.
