Finally, Lionel will be producing the long sought after Polar Express elves as seen in the RTR catalog.
Can't wait grandpa and grandson will be happy campers.

Cool!
I didn't think to check the RTR catalog...I think Lionel and MTH should put everything in one catalog...if I missed this (and I am fairly active in the hobby) there's bound to be lots of others will miss it, and other items as well. Advertising 101 - keep it simple.
Oh, oh!! My wife will want me to get some elves. I just packed the Polar Express away last evening, and still have the Hallmark Santa Toymaker to put away. Then I think I will run my regular trains on the winter wonderland for a while. Actually, I thought I looked at the RTR catalog at one time, but didn't see them. Maybe I was looking at a different catalog. Proves Paul's point!!
Just when you thought you have everything...I have to get some elves to complete all the PE stuff I have. I'm glad Lionel saw the interest and went for it. BigRail
I'd say they are listening very well!! This is going to make a lot of Polar fans very happy!!
I had some custom o scale elves made last year that I am putting on the for sale forum today. If anyone is interested in quantities greater than 30, they are $2.10 each. much cheaper than the RTR ones in 2016 catalog ($4 each or so). ....if anyone is looking to recreate the first gift of Christmas elf scene like I did.

The 2016 Ready to Run catalog includes the 2016 Christmas catalog. At the bottom right corner of the RTR front cover, it says "2016 Christmas Catalog Inside." However, I think it would have been much better if the Christmas catalog title had been more prominently displayed on the cover - it's a bit hard to notice.
