I have a few mohawk/mountain type steam locomotives. And I have to say they have worked out very good at pulling trains. At first I was not sure about having one.But one thing lead to another andI got one.A mth railking locomotive YNC with proto 2 sound.I started out with it pulling about 25 boxcars. No problem pulled the train as if was not there. Then Pulled a 38 boxcars then 42 boxcars then the couplers started popping open.I not sure how many a lionel mohawk will pull but Its a bet it can pull a lot.So guys lets heard from ya.

A Railking Imperial Mountain was my first command control engine when I got back into the hobby in the early part of this century.
Seeing it's real life counterpart at the PA Railroad Museum is what prompted me to get it when I saw it in the catalogue.
I'll be on the hunt for the recently released scale version at York this fall.

There pretty good locomotives that can pull freight or passenger trains.
