Apart from the shutdown, sounds like overall good news for the club. The mine area is indeed spectacular. Hope the shutdown period does not diminish your presence on the forum!

That is pretty cool to see the whole layout in 3d. I agree with others, the photos look great as usual.
I went to seminar on the applications for LiDar scanning in early 2010 and was amazed at the accuracy. Some architectural component manufacturers are using this process with great success. A metal panel fabricator was using the technology to model the skin of a building prior to installation of panels and then use the cloud data to CNC each panel including shims with a 0% failure rate on the panels. Amazing. I've been wondering if this is the future of getting accurate tooling for cars and locomotives where the prototype still exists.
